How do I decide what is noteworthy information?

Information is noteworthy according to its purpose; the setting determines what is noteworthy. In meeting minutes, decisions by vote are noteworthy; in debates, a sharp or clever rebuttal is noteworthy.

Just look for the important main points of whatever you are trying to pull the information out of. Find what is most important and focus on that.
