First convert pounds to ounces by multiplying by 16. Then add that number to the ounces. Finally, take that total and multiply by 28.35 to get grams. For example, 3 pounds, 5 ounces would be: 3 * 16 = 48. 48 + 5 = 53. 53 * 28.35 = 1502.55. So 3 pounds, 5 ounces is equal to 1502.55 grams.
