A dog's mouth is surprisingly clean. It is much cleaner than a human mouth or a cat's mouth. Dog slobber will not hurt you at all. I would not worry about that, because of how clean a dog's mouth really is. If your son is getting sick it is not from the dog.

A dogs mouth is cleaner than a human mouth and definately a lot cleaner than cats, germ wise that is. The only thing you can catch from being lick by a dog is a case of puppy love
