How did you get into debt?

Some people can't afford things they really need. But most people in debt buy too many things they want (not need). It's hard to learn the difference.

People got into debt that was crazy deep by buying too many big ticket items at once. Plus you add in the fact that there are so many people out there that credit helped them to be something that they are not, purchasing pricey clothes and such that were truely beyond there means. Simply put, self indulgence.

My husband is a truck driver and he lost his contract so he didn't have any money coming in. No money, no bills get paid.
