How can I start a home service for seniors business?

I think this would be a good business in our area.

You need to be licensed for elder care. You will need liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance. Your state may require vaccinations or health certificates. You need medical training or proof of such training in how to care for the elderly.

You should get in touch with your community's Better Business Bureau and find out if they support any grants for starting new businesses. And yes, home service for seniors is a good business in almost any community these days.

Learn about medicare and medicaid and how you can save your clients money through federal programs. Become familiar with area homes; homes range from medicaid sponsored to the wealthiest of apartments; and, of course, you have to know whether the client is mobile or not. The first things to learn!

I used seniorcaretemplates to get my senior care business started. It saved me hundreds of hours! It made it very easy and I was up in running in a short time. I can't image developing the senior care business plan, and all the required forms and templates myself.

Depending on the type of service, there may be some licensing requirements for providing care to the elderly. Barring that, you also need to think about advertising, financing, and insurance.
