How can I help my toddler cope with my divorce?

Answer by  Rose (6804)

You need to be honest with her, now you can not talk to her like a little adult, but you need to not hide things from her. You also need to allow the ex to be around for special events and things in her life. You are still co parents.

Your toddler will react more to your emotions then the actual situation. If you are happy to be with your toddler he/she will be happy to be with you as well. Explain that their dady/mommy will be by to see them soon and that they still love them also. Keep things in thier normal routine.
