Well to get rid of carpet worms, either spray ammonium onto the area. Or you must be using some type of termite spray like raid.

You can wash the carpet with a natural cleaner by combining two cups of white vinegar and a gallon of water. Repeat the process in a day or two in order to get rid of any that linger. Once a week sprinkle baking soda on your carpet and vacuum.

The best way to get rid of them is to actually raid your whole carpet. What I mean is use the raid spray to spray all infected areas. Then you will have to clean your carpet with a normal carpet cleaner and you will watch them go away in no time.

The Best method is cleaning the carpet very often with our fail. I too faced this problem but instead of calling the pest controllers i fired them using cigarette lighter. That method will kill even the eggs and will not get develop again.
