How can I get a job with a poor work history?

I was not a good worker but I believe I will be now.

You will probably need to start at the bottom and prove yourself. There are positions in many fields that have high turnover for various reasons, and employers are eager to fill them. Get one, do a good job and stick with it for a while, then move up. Good luck!

Your work history will probably not get you an interview, but you will have to communicate your interest to the manager and convince him that you are a changed person.

You really need to plan on selling yourself. Poor work history is bad. You'll get poor references and you need to impress your new employer with what you can bring.

Look for a basic entry job, such as sandwich maker or floor sweeping. Get a couple months of good work history at that employer. Then look for a transfer up to a better job in that company.

Don't see your past, just forget it. Start new life with new aspiration, just be confident that you have learnt a lesson from past experience. Look for a new job.
