The easiest way to get a free ringtone may be to create it by yourself - you just need a MP3 file of the music you'd like to have on your phone and use as ringtone, a cable to transfer your file, and a software to cut out MP3 files (or use a website like mp3cut to do it)

The best website I have used to get free ringtones would have to be phonezoo. You can make your own or when you download them make them long or short.
