How can I finish mid-century blonde veneer furniture?

Sand down the trouble spots on the furniture. If there are any holes or chunks taken out of the furniture get some wood putty to fill them in. Then apply your new finish. I would do a couple coats so it holds up and does not chip. Im sure you could find the supplies at any hardware store.

You should use a good old classic style. With some of the accents of old looking furniture some old british furniture will fit nicely.
