A ground fault interrupter breaker (GFI) or ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) is usually easy to indentify in the breaker box. The GFI breaker should have a button or switch marked "Test" in addition to the ON/OFF button or lever on the breaker.

The simplest way would be to plug a lamp into the outlet and flip switches until it turns off. If you cannot see the lamp from the breaker box, use a radio and turn the volume up or use another person or two to shout when the device goes off.

Installing GFI breaker in main breaker box, should be carried out only by a qualified electrician since Carrying out any electrical work is dangerous. Before erecting gfi flip, the main breakers should be put OFF. Any AC power is situated close to water; install either GFI breaker or GFI outlet. Whenever possible, install GFI outlet instead of GFI breaker

The GFI breaker in your breaker box has a white reset button on it that pops out if the GFI is tripped. Just press it back in. The regular breakers have no button. They trip by moving left or right and have a red indicator.
