How can I determine the wire size I need for my central air conditioner?

You will have to take a look at the name plate on the air conditioning unit and look and see what the amps is. Once you know the amps that the unit draws you can size the wire accordingly and hook it up. Make sure you see if it is 220v or not.

You will need to first look at the wire that is on your air conditioner then buy it from a store.
