How can I care for my English Oak tree?

Providing a sufficient drainage system and full sunlight are essential for this tree. Water on a regular basis, as needed, while tree is young. After it is established, reduce watering frequency to once a week as this tree is drought resistent. Place in a well ventilated area with lots of sunshine to keep powdery mold or mildew at bay.

English Oaks are beautiful trees. Regular fertilization two to three times per year with a fertilizer containing chelated iron will greatly improve the trees color and overall vigor. Infrequent and deep irrigation will also help the tree to weather the hot and dry periods during the summer. Regular pruning and dead wood removal are also vital to the trees longevity.

Well make sure you keep all pesticides at bay. Oak is a very delicate tree. Try to feed the tree once in a while. Try changing up the soil when it is possible. The most important thing is to prevent diseases. Clean the coat of the tree with vinegar some times.

They are gorgeous trees they are pretty hearty but with mine I keep all weeds away from the base of the tree and I wrap a tarp around the tree base every winter to prevent frost from harming its growth I also water mine with ortho plant food twice a month warm water.
