In order to get out any disease and parasites you should use one part bleach to three parts water to clean the fish tank. Scrub with a scrubbing sponge or and algae sponge to get off calcium deposits and debris. Be sure to wash the tank out thoroughly before putting in any fish as the bleach water will kill them.

First, warm water 8c of water on the stove. Make sure the fish tank is completely empty of rocks, sand, plants, animals, and equipment. Pour the water into the tank, adding 1c of ammonia. Using a rag, cloth or sponge, clean the walls of the tank. After the water has cooled, clean any remaining detritus with a soft toothbrush.

If their are fish in the tank, remove and put then in a holding tank. Disconnect the filter system and wash that out. Take the water, stones and decorations out of the tank and set in tempid water. Clean the walls of the tank with a soft cloth. DO NOT use any soap. The residue will kill the fish.

First think you can clean the used fish tank with hot water. next you will check the leaking and if look dirty you can clean the tank with salt paper or emery sheet. next you dont know about the history of previous user. So you clean by using hydrogen peroxide. that will help to kill bacteria.
