How are prostate infections treated?

I don't want to become impotent.

It all depends on your diagnosis, if it is acute or chronic. So the first step would be to consult your physician and he will then prescribe antimicrobials and analgesics for and acute infection wherein treatment is usually a week or two but if you have a chronic infection treatment course is longer usually doubled.

Infections of the prostate would be treated with antibiotics, probably delivered orally or by injection, much like any other infection. Worse infections can be treated by basically anything according to my research. You should consult a doctor with your questions and concerns.
