The only problems i cave come across is that they hold water in the drum and it creates a bad smell also some have problems with the front door gasket leaking.

LG is a very good name brand for many major appliances across the board including washers. There have been no recent recalls of the brand and LG is very prompt at resolving issues.
The LG TROMM front loading washer is the worst washing machine I have ever owned! DON'T even consider it! My clothes come out dirtier than when they went it!!
