Yes, it does! There are three major key systems, the Albert (simple), the Oehler (Auler), and the Boehm. For virtuoso playing, the Boehm system works best - with the other two systems you need to cross-finger in difficult passages. It is easier to slur notes on an Albert instrument, so they are used for jazz and ethnic music.
