It does not help removing scars at all. The reason for this is that acetone is very toxic, therefore putting nail polish remover on your skin will have a bad effect. Try using something that won't cause too much damage to your skin and don't even think about putting nail polish remover on your face

I don't believe it removes scars. I know it does help get rid of chiggers, which if left beneath the skin too long could cause a wound which might leave a scar. So in a way I guess it does help with scarring wounds. Go nail polish remover. Just don't hurt yourself.

It is impossible to help scars , nail polish remover is nothing but acetone which mainly helps to remove only temporary marker. This is also applicable in many laboratories and in many other working places. This helps not only to remove nail polish,but also to remove marker works in any of the part.

The results are mixed at best. Some people say that it is helpful, but this is not scientifically supported. It is not recommended.
