Does Jamaica have legal marijuana?

No Jamaica does not have legal marijuana but they have a very liberal view of it. I have seen people selling it at bus stops and actually swim to the resorts with it in plastic bags.

Most people think that Marijuana is legal in Jamaica, but it is not. It is somehow tolerated because of the Rastafari believers minority that use it in their religious rituals and as a way of life.

Although a lot of marijuana is grown and smoked in Jamaica, marijuana is not legal. Jamaica is known as a hedonist getaway and their economy is based on tourism, so generally the law looks the other way when tourists smoke pot.

While I worked traveling through the carribean I spent time in Jamaica. Technically marijuana is illegal but, As a tourist or foriegner yes, it is illegal. As for locals having marijuana they seem to be overlooked by the authorities.
