It does, but you have to keep feeding it to your pet every two to three days. Just mince it up and put it in their food. The fresh garlic works better than supplements. And remember you still have to get rid of the fleas in your home and yard.

Garlic is a natural flea repellent; it works best in combination with other ingredients. One problem, though, is it can be toxic to dogs and cats, depending on the dose.

Many people and veterinarians agree that garlic can be used to keep the fleas off of your pets. One website recommends rubbing garlic salt on your pets coat for protection.

some people use garlic to repel fleas but it does not work in all cases or in every situation. the best way to repel fleas is using smoke from any source (cigarretes work fine)
