Compound W does not freeze off warts, it is a liquid which is allowed to dry on the wart and over the course of treatment more or less eats away or burns away the wart tissue. It is only to be placed on the wart area as it will injure other skin as well.

Compound W Freeze Off does freeze the wart, killing the cells and allowing it to fall off. There are other kinds of Compound Ws that work differently and there are alternate wart removal methods.

Compound W is a freezing agent and I do not know if it would be appropriate to use for warts, because it would depend. You should always ask your doctor to be sure.
