Does a rooting hormone work on all plants?

Or are there breeds that don't work with it?

It doesn't work on all plants. Geraniums root well in just plain water. Plants that are not woody work better with this process. Woody plants sometimes root by just taking a stick from the plant and placing it in the ground without any hormone. House plants root in plain water. Green cuttings work best using root hormone.

It will work with most plants but there are a few that will not tolerate it and the ones that do not will not just get wilted they will die on you for more info try a web search about it or talk to your local greenhouse they will be able to give you a ton of info.
