Do you put your more worn tires on the rear of your car?

A vehicle's tires usually are rotated from front to back and from side to side. That is if your tires are not directional. If they are diresctional then rotate from front to back. Some vehices have specfic rotation methods so check your manual. If the tires are worn replace them.

For front wheel drive cars you would put the more worn tires on the rear of the vehicle. For rear wheel drive cars, the opposite is true.

Typically the most-worn tires on a vehicle are mounted on the rear wheels. The front wheels are where your steering and the majority of your braking power are, whereas the rear wheels (depending on FWD/RWD) are just being dragged. So, if a tire blows from wear, it's much safer that it happens on the rear wheels.

it is not a bad idea, but that means that you got to have it on your mind all the time and be careful at any time-especially in the winter.
