I used to count calories to lose weight, but now that I weigh what I want to, I only count calories when my clothes start to get a bit tight. Most of the rest of the time, I'm about portion control. I eat small portions of whatever I want!

In my opinion, it would be better to eat smaller portions and less food overall than to bother with counting calories.

I do not count calories, nor do I just eat whatever I want. I try to eat healthy, and while watching my weight, I watch my caloric intake and limit my calories to much less than I burn off daily.

I was a fitness instructor for 3 years and I could eat whatever I wanted. But, now I remind myself that we need feed to live and that is all. That food doesn't have any purpose but, to keep us alive. This is a good mind set.

When I feel my lax controls over my eating behavior have put my weight outside of my comfort zone, I count calories. Therefore, my calorie counting and anything-goes behavior seem to occur in waves. Often times it's too much work to count calories, but it's worse to be a total whale, right?

Since i have a desk job, if i stop counting calories i start to gain weight. After you do it for awhile, calorie counting becomes second nature and its not annoying at all.
