Most come with manuals that inform you how to do this. Try starting the thread above on the spool, move left to the loop, and then through the needle.

Begin at the top right of your machine where the spool sits. Guide the thread through the course, per your instructions, until you reach the needle at the bottom left.

First you should find where the thread spools go and put a spool on both the top and bottom. The machine should have numbers on it. With the spool on the machine, you follow those numbers with the end of the thread.
