Could you play Mario on the original GameBoy?

There are a couple of Mario games that came out for the original gameboy one is Super Mario Land, the other is Dr Mario. They aren't quite as good as the gameboy color Mario games. Also if you are trying to play the gameboy color mario games on the original gameboy it will not work.

Yes, you could. You couldn't play the original Mario Bros. game which was originally for the NES,but there were a couple games which were made specifically for the game boy.
