Prednisone use has many possible side effects because it can alter your horomone levels. It can cause you to have missed or irregular periods, excessive hair loss, and even various stomach problems which may cause nausea and vometing. Taking this medication with milk or food may help with that though.

Yes, prednisone is an anti allergic and anti inflammatory drug which can cause several side effects to our body. Such as missed periods or irregular menstruation. Prednisone affects the production of hormones in our body thru the central nervous system that can affect releasing of hormones in our body like estrogen which is responsible for menstruation.

Taking prednisone can definitely cause a woman to have menstrual irregularity including missing periods. Periods should resume normalcy a few months after discontinuing the medication. If they do not, then you should consult your doctor.

Absolutely. Prednisone use can cause missed and irregular periods. Prednisone usually requires special dietary guidelines that help alleviate symptoms. The drug sometimes causes excessive water retention and bloating which contribute to a missed menstrual cycle.

Have not heard this before, any way, nowdays, everything is possible. Prednisone is steroids, which depress your immune system. Anything could happen when your immune system is low. I am not sure if there is something to do with platelet or clotting factors, but I am sure you will get infection easier than the people who not taking predinisone.
