Could a sonographer get gestational age wrong by 6 - 8 weeks?

Very early on an ultrasound is more accurate but the most that a sonographer should be off is 3 weeks.

Yes. However, it's quite rare. They can get it wrong if the baby is either growing too much or too little at a time. They tell the age by measuring the baby.

It could be slightly off, depending on your babies growth. However, they measure the uterus and it is usually pretty close.

Yes, its very common for a sonographer to mistake gestational age because they simply use the size of the fetus to measure age. The fetus could be just big.
