You will have to keep the water lettuce under control. Never let the water lettuce cover the whole pond, but I wouldn't put water lettuce in my pond.

It depends on whether you're keeping the water lettuce in the pond as decoration or food! Some koi like eating water lettuce, so expect your plants to be nibbled out of shape. Thankfully, water lettuce grows quickly, and its nutrition may even cause your koi to become more brightly red.

Yes, you can keep koi and water lettuce in the same pond if you are not planning on eating the lettuce. The koi may nibble on the water lettuce, but both will thrive.

Yes, you can keep the koi in a pond with water lettuce. Koi will eat the water lettuce and it is great nutrition for them. Water lettuce grows fast. Buy enough of it so that it grows faster than the koi can it it. Otherwise, use a floating planter so the koi can't get to it.

Yes you can. But the koi may nibble on the lettuce. The lettuce won't die though from just being in the same pond as the Koi. Also the koi may actually like the lettuce so he can sleep in the nest of lettuce. So technically there is no problem with them being together.
