It would be beneficial to perform several tests using a multimeter to verify the ignition and charging system is working correctly. You can check for juice right where the startor wire comes out by the pull starter. Make sure the ignition coil is not lose and another benificial test is to check the CDI box.

It depends on the problems you are experiencing. First step would be to obtain a do-it-yourself manual as they're good for tips and procedures should you want to perform the work yourself, and you'll save money on labor costs.
