Can you grow peppermint plants indoors?

Yes, you can grow a peppermint plant indoors. If you find a spot for it on a sunny windowsill, it will grow just fine. Please keep in mind that the peppermint seeds are poisonous. When the plant flowers, make sure that you keep it away from your cat, other pets and children.

Mint is easily grown in pots and requires less sun than many herbs. Keep it behind a closed door in a room your cat doesn't visit!

Peppermint plants are almost scary in their ability to grow in adverse situations. You will need to protect the plants from the cats (even peppermint can't grow inside a cat's stomach) but the cats will love eating some.
