It's usually well worth hiring an accounting when you run your own business. Accountants can often give you lots of extra tips. Just keep your receipts and make an appointment.

Save every receipt for anything that is work related. Keep a good checkbook with explanations for every cost. Any money that you have paid yourself must be reported. Many times depending on what the items are, equipment purchases can be written off at tax time. Keep a good record of any labor cost you hav incurred.

The best thing you can do is keep receipts for charge or credit (when you get money) that has to deal with your farming. Then let a pro handle it.
