I just found out that I could have gotten a loan last year. Can I take it out now for last year?

That is highly unlikely. Another thing to consider, you really don't want to graduate and suddenly be in debt. The starting level positions don't pay all that well.

Probably not. Unless you hear about that type of thing from a specific company, I have not heard of it and I have been a student for ten years.
