"Minx" is actually "Manx." The Manx is characterized by a mutated spine which results in a stub instead of a tail, usually appearing completely tail-less. They can be traced back to the Isle of Man, hence the name "Manx."

Minx cats do not exist. You are confusing them with manx cats, which have shortened tails, or no tails at all, due to a genetic spinal mutation. They can be either long-haired or short-haired, and their coats have many different colors and patterns. Manx cats are domesticated and make fine house pets.

Are you sure you don't mean Manx cats? Manx cats come from the Isle of Man, which is just off coast of UK, and have no tails.

I think you mean a MANX cat. Manx's are solid, strong cats, with very muscular bodies. They are often tigers, but can be any coloration. They have short stubby tails, or most often tail-less as part of their breed definition. They're noted hunters, and originated on the Isle of Man.

Actually this is not a recognized cat breed. A minx is a cross between a Sphinx and a Manx. The Manx cat is usually tailess with long or short hair. The Sphinx is a hairless cat.

The term refers to a commonly found crossbreed between two other types of cats. The Minx breed is a mix between a Manx and a Sphinx therefore resulting in a "MINX".

I assume you mean Manx cat (minx is a common misspelling). Most Manx are tailless. Bodies are solid and compact with dense fur, long back legs and deep flanks, round head with round eyes and distinct ear set resembling a rocker or cradle. They are friendly, loving and easily trained.
