Sunblock can actually promote heat rash. The oils in the sunblock can block off pores, which prevents you from sweating and leads to heat rash.

Direct sunlight does not cause heat rash so sun block won't prevent it. Heat rash occurs when sweat ducts become clogged and inflamed, usually from being dressed too warmly or living in a humid climate. Keeping the skin cool, clean and dry will generally resolve it within 3 days.

Yes because a heat rash occurs from excessive sun. The sun can be harmful if you lay in it for excessive periods of time especially if you arnet wearning any kind of protective sun block. It is inevitable that at some point you will develop a burn or rash from the sun.

Not really. Heat rash is caused by the heat the body finds to be too much. While sun block is there to protect your body from the sun and it's rays that are bad for your body because of the side effects such as; cancer, tumors, skin turning "leathery" from too much sun exposure and not enough coverage.
