Yes, dogs can get parvo from cats. It is a horrible disease. Someone I know had a dog that died from parvo. It caught from his neighbor's cats who ALL had parvo. Make sure you take your dog to the vet if you think your dog has come in contact with a sick cat.

Parvovirus is highly contagious from dog to dog but it is not passed from a cats to dogs or dogs to cats or people. The symptoms of the parvovirus is vomiting and diarrhea and can cause death to a dog. Being infected does not always mean ilness because there are other factors that play such as age, health and invironment.

It is very rare that cats get parvovirus. It is a gastrointestinal disease that typically only dogs get. While cats rarely contract the disease, precautions should still be taken since parvovirus is highly contagious and can be picked up from surfaces that dogs with the disease have touched

Cats do not get parvo. Only dogs can catch parvo and some wild animals but should not be a worry if your dog gets it, your cat will not.

The answer to the question is no. Despite the fact that the Canine variation of this virus evolved from its Feline origin, the Parvo virus can not under any circumstances transfer between the two species.
