Scleritis, which is a type of infection that causes swelling and hardening of the outter cover of the eyeball, can be associated with Lymes Disease in dogs. It would cause severe discomfort for the animal and can be life threatening if not treated as soon as possible by a vet.

Noooo.... a swollen eye is an injury or an infection. If dogs react to Lyme-carrying ticks they will present with arthritis and fever. Your dog has an eye injury.
