If a mother cat is exposed to distemper while pregnant, the virus can affect her kittens, sometimes leading to cerebellar hypoplasia. This condition causes obvious tremors, shaking, stumbling, and falling that are noticeable within the first few weeks, but it's not fatal. Most importantly, take your kitten to a vet for a qualified diagnosis to ensure it's not more serious.

If you are asking this because your kitten has tremors, then yes. Many mammals share similar symptoms of diseases. If a kitten is getting tremors, you should take it to a vet. Just knowing that a kitten has tremors isn't enough to treat it as tremors can be a symptom of many different diseases.

Young kittens can often be very sensitive to the cold before their fur is fully grown in, and their body fat starts to accumulate. This could cause tremors when it's cold. Also, because their muscles are new and untrained, they may appear to have tremors when learning to stand and walk.

Kittens can often get tremors in the early or old stages of their animal life. This is not uncommon and can be of concern, but is usually benign. A simple vet checkup can further determine what is necessary for you as a pet owner to do. This has not shown to decrease lifespan.
