The only known studies for this theory is that potassium lowering by drinking tea has not been proven in humans yet. The only studies of this nature is the intake of a very high concentration in lab animals.

Drinking one type of fluid can upset your pH balance and electrolytes in your body. Drinking small amounts of tea may not, however if you drink an over abundance such as a gallon or more in a short period of time can lower your potassium as well as your sodium levels.

Yes, because tea has various chemicals that can either react directly with the potassium or work to make your body act better in acting on your potassium levels. Taking tea increases the levels of intake of water which as you know we do not take enough. Water dilutes the potassium which in effect becomes less concentrated in our bodies.

No the only thing you can do to lower the level in your body is to cut it out of your diet.

IF you drink tea in small amounts thn the symptoms of potassium loss or any other vitamin losses are negligible. However, tea is a diuretic so if that's all you drink you need to drink more fluids and take in more vitamins.

I think this could be the case. But I am not quite sure since I also read about coffee to lower the potassium level. Maybe black tea
