Question by  Tara (45)

Can bananas be frozen for preservation?

It seems like a good idea to freeze bananas so that they will keep longer, but I'm not sure how it will effect the banana.

Yes, but only if you peel them first. If you freeze them with the peel on then they will turn all brown and gross.

Yes, they can. Peel them and put them in the freezer. A lot of people use a frozen banana as a basis for a smoothie.

Yes you can refrigerate bananas for about 10 days without the fruit changing texture. Be sure the banana is completely ripe (small brown spots and peel easily) before you refrigerate.
