Can asthma affect your heartbeat?

When one has an asthma attack it generally causes anxiety. Anxiety can cause your heart rate to increase. Just the extra effort of trying to breath can increase your heart rate. Some inhalers increase the heart rate also.

Since your breathing rate can directly raise or lower your blood flow and heart rate, I'd say yes. Breathing rate is a major component of any physical activity, and your body must work harder to provide adequate oxygen during an asthma episode.

Well asthma is when your lungs are unable to breathe out enough oxygen causing the attacks, if your lungs are not working properly it will effect the heart.

It is not affected to heartbeat because Asthma is a common lung disease, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing. A person with asthma has difficulty breathing.
