Can Americans get a Nigerian visa?

I don't think you would need a Nigerian visa if you are American. You should only need your American passport.I know that if you are traveling out of the United States you should have your American passport and maybe some type of permission to enter the Nigerian country if you are required to have one.

Yes Visas are issued to Americans for entry into Nigeria, however there is four to six day processing period. In addition to the visa it is required that you show you can sustain yourself while in Nigeria. This is done by travelers checks that are to be cashed while there.
