If you have small children or smokers in your home, white could be especially difficult to keep clean. Consider also how often you're willing to clean your curtains.
White curtains get dirty just as fast or slow as other curtains. It goes gradually and evenly, so it takes a while before anyone notices. (Except when people are smoking! )
