Soybeans contain 8. 8 mg of iron per serving. They seem to be the best option. Also try kidney, lima, and navy beans.

Any product from the bean family is iron enriched. Vegitarians are encouraged to choose from a wide variety of beans to ensure against iron deficiency.

All dry beans are rich in iron. Black beans, kidney, pinto and lentils are the highest in iron. Using beans in recipes enhances the flavor and also give you protein, iron and vitamins. Beans are a cheap item to use as a filler in soups, stews when added in the last 1/2 hr. , so they don't get mushy.
