Singles can occur at any age, but does require previous infection with chicken pox. It is most common in the elderly, but can occur in the young especially if immunosuppressed. See you doctor for a firm diagnosis.

Chicken pox usually appears in children with little or no immunity, shingles occurs in adults with limited immunity. Therefore, your daughter does not have shingles, because shingles occurs in adults.

Yes children can get the shingles. I got them when I was 7. When I was a baby I had a very mild case of the chickpox.

Children can have the shingles, it is quite rare and it is a recurrence of chicken pox. If your daughter has not had chicken pox then it probably is just chicken pox but if she had this disease before then its best to consult your pediatrician for proper diagnosis.
