There is no cure for rhinitis, also known as the "common cold." There are over-the-counter medicines to help deal with the symptoms until the body fights off the virus. If you are getting three to four colds per year, you should really make sure you are getting more sleep, as this can have a large effect on the immune system.

Nope, not yet. There are some remedies that are supposed to shorten the length of a cold if you catch it in time. Zinc is also good for making symptoms more tolerable. About the only thing you can do is treat the symptoms and try to not get a cold.

At this point they have not found a cure for the common cold. All you can do for now is take Motrin, Tylenol, Allergy medicines, Aleeve, or any drug over the counter.

Basically common cold is caused by virus. No medicine is effective against viruses. However it is reported that virus can be controlled by heat . So drinking of warm water or living in warm room helps. Also smelling cut onions is said to be helpful.
