They should be. I haven't seen a service manual yet that's written like stereo instructions. Honda Shadows are pretty simple machines, too, so working on them isn't hard.

Yes, the manual are easy to follow but there may be sections that need a little more explanaion. If there is indeed a hole or if more information is needed I would recommend a haynes manual. They will have step by step and a complete tear down. You can't go wrong with both of them.

yes. The instruction in the 1995 Honda shadow tech manual service are very easy to follow. designed for specially VT1100cc model bike and can be easily followed by a regular rider.
