Are tennis shoes with wheels safe?

I think with common sense they are safer than things we used to "ride" in our day. Safety equipment is essential. More so than them being unsafe I think a lot of kids are rude when they use them. I have been cut off by them in stores and such. Again a little common sense goes a long way.

I live in Asia and have seen this craze by kids for buying shoes with wheels, I would say it would depend on how, where and when they would use it. I see kids in malls or empty halls of schools or even play ground areas where it would be safe.

They are similar to rollerskates. Kids who rollerskate face the same dangers as those who have the shoes with pop out wheels. The only thing that would make these shoes more dangerous, is because kids do not carry roller blades with them everywhere they go, but these shoes they wear all the time and can skate wherever.
