Are Norton motorcycle parts reliable?

Properly installed, Nortons' mechanical parts are quite reliable. At least as much as any other British motorcycle of the same era. Unfortunately, their electrical components don't do as well, a widely recognized shortcoming. Modern replacement electrical parts are far superior, resulting in a good, dependable motorcycle.

Norton parts are top of the line. Their 'Chip Chiperson' performance line is some of the best stuff I've ever taken for a ride. A close second you be the 'Paul' line, though they are for smaller bikes.
