Are Johnson Sea Horse motors any good?

At one time Johnson motors were considered the industry standard by which all others were measured. For their time in history they were very good.

yes they are good but if you really want to get some hoarse power buy two mercury two hundred fifty hourse power outboard engines and throw them on your boat, it will go so much faster and might even save you a little gas at the same time, have fun

I guess it depends on who you talk to. There are serveral different views, some people really talk good about it and others do not like it.
